Southcare Mission

Southcare is a private, non-profit, regional organization that serves the elderly population in Florida. Our services are available to individuals age 60 and over.

Southcare's mission is to provide the best environment available for healthy living for the elderly in Alachua County, Florida ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well being.

Southcare is all about keeping seniors away from hospitals and nursing homes.

Southcare serves mostly never before assisted regions like rural areas in the Alachua, High Springs, Lacrosse, Newberry and North-West-East Gainesville communities. This makes Southcare a unique solutions-provider for those areas.

Southcare's comprehensive support system for the elderly will assist individuals in maintaining an independent living status for as long as possible. Our research indicates that the three biggest fears of an older person are:

• Living in a Nursing Home

• Being Alone (Loneliness)

• Becoming a burden to their family
